Together, participants explore the opportunities and challenges shaping philanthropy, civil society, and Indigenous movements while building relationships that inspire lasting collaboration.

Darwin Convention Centre

Larrakia Cultural Centre
The Larrakia people are the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters in and surrounding Darwin, including Darwin Harbour. Saltwater people, made up of nine family groups, with over 2,600 people living in and around Darwin, the Larrakia have pursued plans for a cultural centre for over 20 years — now realised at the Darwin Waterfront, adjacent to the Stokes Hill sacred site and in close proximity to the Darwin Convention Centre.
The building's design evokes a Larrakia ancestral being, a bird in flight, protecting the land and the people — reflecting the Centre's vision to preserve and share Larrakia culture, language, arts and traditions with visitors from around the world through art, language, storytelling, ceremony and protocol.
Owned and governed by Larrakia for future generations, the Larrakia Cultural Centre is a project of the Larrakia Development Corporation, providing employment, business and income opportunities for the Larrakia community. As a conference venue, it offers delegates a rare opportunity to engage directly with living culture on the Country where the conference is held.
